Rolf Paul Haegler was "converted" to world federalism as a 12-year-old boy in response to the attitude of his family during the Second World War. In 1939, his father ended his commercial relationship with Germany in order to express his solidarity with the forces fighting for liberty, and in doing so, taught Mr. Haegler to consider the whole world as a common land.

Mahmoud Shahriar Sharei is a post-graduate researcher in international law (University of Kent, UK). He holds a MS degree in Computer Science, as well as a LLM degree, in Public International Law (dissertation: The Legality of Nuclear Weapons). He has extensive business experience in the Middle East until 2008; since then, he has focused full time on the NGO activities in the areas of nuclear disarmament, United Nations reform, International Criminal Court, and democratic global governance.

Toshio Kozai was born in 1922 and lives in Osaka, Japan. He has been involved in WFM movement since 1976. At present, Mr. Kozai is serving as EC member of WFM-Japan and WFM's Council, and also
acting as Secretary General of WFM Asian Center. Mr. Kozai was appointed as the 2nd Vice Chair of WFM Council from 1996 (Sept) to 2002 (July).

After serving in the United States Military from 1944-1947 (Occupation of Korea, 754th Tank Battalion, 7th Infantry division, 2nd Lieutenant; USAR, 1947-1955, Captain), Mr. Kronisch received a BA from Bucknell University in 1949 and a JD from Rutgers University School of Law in 1952. He worked in the Essex County Court System and served on the New Jersey Supreme Court from 1952-1954, was a trial attorney in the U.S. Department of Justice from 1955-1956, and an Assistant Prosecutor in Essex County, NJ, from 1956-1960. Francisco Plancarte is the founder of Planetafilia (2001) and co-founder of WATUN. He received support to promot UN Charter Review (art. 109) at the plenary session of XXV Congress of WFM in Geneva and was elected as a Council Member in 2007. Francisco is also a board member of DWF in San Francisco, California, a member of WPF in Japan and the vice-president of the Peoples Congress. Mr. Plancarte has been a representative of UNPA in Mexico since 2007 and a member of the Board as well as the International vice-president of Vote World Parliament in Canada.

ill Burckhardt has been Treasurer of the Young European Federalists (JEF-Europe) since 2007 and member of the Executive Bureau of the Union of European Federalists (UEF) since 2011.

Till received a Masters degree in Economics (European and Financial Governance) from Sciences Po Paris in 2007 and is currently a PhD student and teaching assistant in economics and language policy at the University of Geneva. (Swiss/Italian, born in 1983)

A/Prof Chris Hamer is a Visiting Associate Professor in the School of Physics at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia. He obtained his PhD at the California Institute of Technology in 1972, and pursued a career in theoretical physics. He has long been interested in the problem of eliminating nuclear weapons, and in the ideal of democratic global governance as the only means to resolve this and other pressing global problems such as climate change.

Until December 2010, Peter Luff was Chief Executive Officer of Action for a Global Climate Community, a non-governmental organization created in 2003 to promote the concept of a north-south climate community willing to tackle climate destabilization within the context of sustainable development. He now holds the post in an honorary capacity.
