The United Nations will hold a Summit for the Future, September 22-23, 2024 in order to advance ‘Multilateral Solutions for a Better Tomorrow.’ UN Member States are already preparing a Declaration for Future Generations to be adopted prior to the Summit and a Pact for the Future to be adopted at the Summit. Civil society is playing an active role in the UN Summit preparations, including through the 2024 UN Civil Society Conference taking place from May 9-10, 2024. This online meeting will include an overview of the preparations for the UN Summit of the Future and discussion on what should be New Zealand’s priorities to advance at the Summit. The event is open to everyone (New Zealanders and non-New Zealanders alike) to join.
