The UN is hosting a Summit of the Future from Sep 22-23. This is billed as a once in a lifetime opportunity to strengthen multilateralism in order to better address key issues impacting on future generations. Governments and civil society have been preparing for this Summit for more than a year – with governments planning to adopt a Pact for the Future, Declaration on Future Generations and Global Digital Compact. However, with decisions being taken by consensus, powerful countries are preventing these from being as progressive and comprehensive as is required. Civil society is swinging in with stronger proposals and campaigns on key issues – including through a Peoples Pact for the Future.
Join these WFM and MEGA leaders in New York as they report live on how these dynamics are playing out at the Summit. Following short reports, they will answer questions live from you, the global audience.
