Melina Fernández

Melina Fernández holds a degree in International Relations from the University of Belgrano, Buenos Aires, Argentina.

She has been a volunteer at Democracia Global since 2022, and she is currently in charge of the volunteer program. She has also worked as a parliamentary advisor in the Chamber of Deputies of Argentina since 2023.

Melins was awarded a scholarship in 2024 to participate in the Ventotene International Seminar on federalism.

I am a world federalist because I believe that in a globalized and interconnected world, the most pressing and urgent challenges—such as climate change, human rights, war, and economic inequality—transcend national borders and require coordinated global solutions. National governments alone struggle to address these complex issues effectively and cannot by themselves offer solutions

By promoting democratic governance at a global level, we can create a more just, peaceful, and sustainable world.

I am working towards a future where democracy and human rights are the foundation of a peaceful, sustainable, and inclusive global society. A world where the people, regardless of their nationality, have equal rights and opportunities, and where governance reflects our interconnected reality. A future where the decisions are made with an awareness that our actions have consequences beyond our own borders.
