  • Citizens for Global Solutions
For more than 75 years, Citizens for Global Solutions (CGS) has been dedicated to the vision of a peaceful, free, just and sustainable world community. We will accomplish this by uniting the planet through democratic global governance to empower all of humanity, according to universal human values. Founded after World War II with the goal of preventing World War III, CGS has expanded to address all global problems that can only be solved by all of the world’s nations working together. CGS is a U.S. based not-for-profit organization with Consultative status at the United. We are one of the lead U.S. organizations that helped establish the International Criminal Court. Through our educational programs, action campaigns, coalition work, and other outreach efforts, we strengthen global institutions and international law, ultimately seeking to create a constitutionally limited, representative, democratic republic of the world, with the tools necessary to abolish war, enforce human rights, and maintain a sustainable environment.
  • Democracia Global
We are an independent and pluralistic organization whose objective is to foster global democracy by promoting the existence of democratic institutions at a regional, continental and global level either by the reform of the existing ones or by the creation of new organizations. Among our campaigns are:
    • The COPLA Campaign (Latin American and Caribbean Criminal Court against Transnational Organized Crime): We propose its creation through the encouragement of the diverse civil society organizations in the region and the support of Latin American governments interested in facing the problem of organized crime from a regional and international cooperation perspective.
    • The United Nations Parliamentary Assembly (UNPA) Campaign: Is a growing global network of parliamentarians and non-governmental organizations advocating for citizen representation in the United Nations. We have also created a UNPA Model to represent how this Assembly can work.
  • Democracy Without Borders (DWB)
The long-term goal of Democracy without Borders is to create a democratic world constitution with a world parliament elected by citizens. Such a democratic world order must be based on equal world citizenship, as well as on the principles of federalism, subsidiarity, separation of powers, the rule of law, fundamental human rights and the protection of minorities. We believe that three interconnected conditions are necessary to achieve this goal. We are therefore working in the field of global citizenship to build mass support for global democracy worldwide; in the field of global governance to build trust between governments and a will to transfer powers, and in the field of global democracy to create the possibility of free and fair elections for a world parliament in all countries.
In particular, Democracy Without Borders together with its partners carries out worldwide campaigns and programs for the creation of a Parliamentary Assembly at the United Nations and a
    UN World Citizens’ Initiative.
Democracy Without Borders is based in Berlin, Germany, and has a growing number of national chapters around the world.
  • Democracy Without Borders – Switzerland
Democracy Without Borders Switzerland is the Swiss chapter of Democracy Without Borders and focuses its work on the Swiss context. We are thus part of an expanding network of like-minded organizations, and promote the idea of a democratic world constitution with a citizen-elected world parliament within Swiss politics, public administration, academia, and the broader public.
Democracy Without Borders Switzerland was originally an independent Swiss world federalist organization, and remains an independent member of the World Federalist Movement.
